Chris Russell world record
Whilst you’re down on the beach at Prom Xtra you may get to witness a world record being made as Olympic hopeful Chris Russell sets sail unassisted from Colwyn Bay promenade at dawn on Saturday 23rd August. Chris has announced his intentions to attempt a World Record for ‘sailing 300 miles unassisted’, which he expects will take around 30 hours to complete. Chris is expected to return to shore at approximately 2pm on Sunday 24th August so make sure you keep a look out for him to cheer him on.
Chris will also bring along his own sporting village which will have his sponsors Force 300, Helly Hansen and Fabyouless. They will be hosting competitions and have lots of giveaways and Fabyouless will also be holding free beauty trials. So make sure you check out the beach zone to hear all about what Chris is up to and give him a warm welcome when he arrives back.
